DBmarlin 5.10.0 Released — Faster Upgrades, Deeper Insights, and Smarter Monitoring
In this blog, we will learn about the faster upgrades, deeper insights, and smarter monitoring in DBmarlin 5.10.0.
DBmarlin has rolled out version 5.10, introducing powerful enhancements that make database monitoring quicker, more intuitive, and more insightful.
SQL Agent Job History Visibility
You can now track the full execution history of SQL Agent jobs directly inside DBmarlin. This includes run times, success or failure status, and performance patterns. Simply enable Collect Job History from the sensor’s Advanced settings.
Each job entry displays execution outcomes and duration, and selecting a job opens a detailed panel showing step-by-step timings and any messages or errors.

Clicking into a Job reveals a slide-out panel with details of the Job Steps and their duration, and any output messages or errors.

Object Insights for SQL Server and Oracle
The release adds deeper Object Insights for both platforms, allowing you to identify schema objects that do not align with best-practice guidelines.
Faster upgrades
The upgrade process has been optimized with a redesigned schema-change mechanism, reducing upgrade times and ensuring smoother transitions—especially for large deployments
New Agent Settings Screen
Managing agents is now easier with a dedicated page that lets you:
- View all active agents
- Check their status and versions
- Remove unused or stale agents
This helps maintain a clean and efficient deployment environment.
Additional Improvements
- Alerts now appear directly on host performance charts for quicker correlation.
- On Linux, DBmarlin automatically runs timescaledb-tune before upgrades to improve PostgreSQL performance.
- You can now override tuned PostgreSQL settings using a new postgresql.conf.override file.
- Restricted users have tighter access control and can no longer modify integrations.
- Data sources and hosts can be duplicated to speed up new configurations.
- Dashboard events are now clickable, taking you straight to the corresponding event details.
DBmarlin 5.10 continues to strengthen its mission of delivering intelligent, streamlined, and high-performance monitoring across all major database platforms.
