IBM Sterling Connect Direct File Transfer
Use case:
IBM Sterling connect directly is a peer-to-peer file transfer and optimized for large file transfer which can transfer any type of data like text, image, binary and etc.
Benefits:
One of the most important benefits of using connect directly is predictability, which can be done by an automatic scheduling file transfer as well as automatic recovery.
Security and performance are also of the benefit by handling high volumes of small files to terabyte files.
Configuration Files:
The two configuration files that can be created after the installation are netmap.cfg and userfile.cfg. The netmap.cfg file contains the connect direct node network information whereas userfile.cfg contains the local user record and remote user record.
Process:
A process is a series of statements and parameters that are used to transfer the file between different sterling connect direct servers and to monitor and control the status.
Features that include in the process:
- User Notifications, automatically notifying the user after a successful or unsuccessful file transfer
- Scheduling, transferring a file at a scheduled time.
